Journey time to the city The inner city can be reached by car or the public transportation. You'll need about 30 minutes to reach the central station by car, 10 minutes to the AVUS (A115) and the inner-city highway (A100), approximately 25 to 30 minutes to the airport Tegel and about 40 minutes to the airport Schönefeld. 	Introduction of environmental zones From the 1st of January 2008, nationwide environmental zones will be introduced in larger cities. You will need a special sticker to enter these zones by car. Without sticker you have to reckon with fines. Visitors who want to visit the inner city by car should obtain such an environmental sticker for their car. You will find more information here.
